Why Tight Hips Are Causing Your Lower Back Pain (And How to Fix It)

Your hips and lower back are intimately connected. When you spend hours sitting, your hip flexors shorten and tighten. Because these muscles attach directly to your pelvis and lower spine, they pull your pelvis forward into an anterior tilt. This mechanical shift forces your lower back muscles to work overtime just to keep you upright.
